Racitatif by Toni Morrison
Write a 300 word analysis of Toni Morrison’s Racitatif. In your analysis make sure to answer the following two questions using at least one quote per question to support your argument:
1) Morrison says that one of the main characters is white and the other is black when introducing Twyla and Roberta to the reader. Which do you think is the white character and which do you think is the black character? Why? Explain your answer and add a quote to support it.
2) How is the concept of “otherness” explored in the short story. Make sure to talk about Twyla, Roberta and Maggie in your discussion. Use at least one quote to support your answer.
