HSA1102 SPC Shifting Focus On Hold-out In SEP Licensing Discussion
Licensure/Registration
When thinking about what it means to be licensed or registered, we have to consider that regulation occurs when licensure and re-licensure is sought. The regulating body can be governmental (local, state, or federal) as well as an outside agency. As you explored this week, there are multiple ways in which one can become licensed or registered, and the profession selected will dictate how this process occurs.
How do you feel about the process of licensure or registration? Do you think additional professions should be included or that there are enough controls? You might want to view this website for information on Florida’s licensed professions: http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/med-boards.html. This list is not all-inclusive, but it will give you a general idea of regulated professions in the State of Florida.
