A brief paper proposal (1 page max) stating the novel or film you chose and at least 2 peer reviewed articles (full-text PDFs) must be submitted for approval. A sample list of novels and films is provided below. You are encouraged to write about a novel or film not listed below, if you obtain professor permission first (a quick email to check with Dr. Frazier is fine).

The text of the proposal should include:

· The name of the novel or film you have selected

· A brief (1 paragraph) description of the adolescent character(s) on whom you wish to focus your paper

· A brief (1 paragraph) discussion of the concepts and theories from class that you expect to discuss in your paper—these are just your initial ideas, your final paper may include different concepts and theories!

Uploaded with this proposal should be the full-text of at least 2 peer reviewed articles that you plan to use in your final paper. You can also email your two article pdfs to Dr. Frazier.
