You need a disaster recovery plan. And, you need it before the disaster occurs. you can’t say you are just going to have someone else fix it. In an organization you can’t assume you’ll just be able to hire someone to come in and fix things after the fact. There are mission critical systems, private data, trade secrets, financial records and transactions, etc. that need to be considered and there is neither time or money to deal with failed systems, loss of confidentiality, loss of revenue, etc. This assignment is for you to define a network plan to deal with potential network issues with the hypothetical continuing education center you previously developed an initial network plan/proposal for.

It needs to be a well thought out plan to backup, encrypt, and protect data, systems, and services on your network. Research and develop a disaster recovery plan that considers software, hardware, and data recovery processes and prices. Your plan should outline what you will implement as far as preventative measures/support for recovery as well as how you will quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively recover from network/system disasters.
