Persuade your audience to make the change you champion in your research paper. You should use a similar structure for your main points as was recommended for the research paper.
In the persuasive presentation, the student uses persuasive skills to convince the audience to change a behavior or belief. The argument should be based on the topic of the research paper. Students must use all proper conventions of public speaking, including formal and speaking outlines, proper verbal and nonverbal techniques, and all elements of introductions, main points, and conclusions. The presentation is 5-6 minutes. Students submit the formal outline with APA style citations and references to Canvas for grading and university assessment with the DOL Oral Communication Grading Rubric.
