EH1010 Columbia Southern University Tornadoes Illustration Essay
Write a 750-1000 word essay about a topic in which you argue for the existence of a particular phenomenon by stating a generalization about the topic. Then, you will support that generalization (in the form of a thesis statement) by choosing to write a single-example illustration essay or a multiple-example illustration essay (see Unit V, Lesson 2). The essay should be written in the style and form described within Unit V. You should use at least one (1) outside reference for your Illustration Essay. This expectation means you will use an in-text reference citation within your paper and also supply a corresponding Reference list at the end of your paper where you present the full documentation for all references used in your paper. To access reliable references, contact the CSU Library. Do not use textbooks, general encyclopedias, or general informationwebsites, such as Ask.com.
Please note that the work you complete in this Unit V will prepare you to submit your Illustration Essay Final Draft which is due in Unit VI of this course. However, you should complete the entire paper in this draft and do your best work, as you will have more applicable feedback from which to make changes to your essay for the final draft.
Practical advice concerns types of illustration essays, topic selection, and gathering examples in support of three points, writing a thesis, preparing an introduction for an illustration essay, developing the body of an illustration essay, writing a strong conclusion, APA protocol, and sources.
