Journal Entry 3.3: Recently in class we discussed Sinclair Broadcasting Group and its practices. As we briefly discussed, Sinclair owns or operates close to 200 local TV news stations around the country. The link below to an article in Deadspin includes a script, on the dangers of “fake news,” read by many Sinclair stations across the country last year. It is an example of “must run” content that Sinclair forces its stations to broadcast. Then answer the following: What do you think the main issue is here, and why are so many people upset about it?
