There are three main purposes:
1. Evaluate the various pump-priming techniques
2. Employ two pump-priming techniques.
3. Produce materials for the narrative Writing.
Steps
1. Pick one of the topic maxims from Writing Project 1 (see below).

· Dont judge a book by its cover

· More flies are caught with honey than vinegar

· “Ifs” and “Buts” butter no bread

· Experience is the best teacher
· Good fences make good neighbors
· Necessity is the mother of invention
· Revenge is a dish best served cold

Be sure to demonstrate that you have fully explored the prewriting strategy you choose.
For instance:
· If you have a conversation about the paper with a friend, describe that conversation in detail
· If you choose to cluster, include four or five levels of boxes or cubes
· If you free-write, aim for 200+ words
