PSY355 Argosy Industrial Organizational Psychology Annotated Bibliography
Question Description
This week, you will develop annotated bibliographies for the research studies you have compiled throughout the course to meet the final paper requirement relevant to your I/O topic, being mindful of the applications and implications. Finding ways to keep the information organized can save you time and ensure accuracy when writing your annotated bibliographies for each study. As you complete your assignments this week, remember the overarching goal of your Capstone so you can select literature that is most pertinent to your assignment. Many articles/studies you will review will have several interesting points, not all of which might relate to your topic. If it is not relevant to your topic, critically consider if the information must be in your paper. This will help you keep your content and outline well organized and coherent.
Begin the annotated bibliography with the studies you have read so far (5-7 studies) and be sure to add two to three more (to complete 7 to 10 annotated bibliographies). Address all the important sections of an annotated bibliography, as illustrated in the sample provided. Be sure to note at the end of the article how useful the article may be for your literature review.
Here are the points to address:
The thesis and scope of the study: name the hypothesis of the study and what population was studied.
The methodology and main points: mention if the study was a survey, case study, types of experiment, etc., and who the subjects were and how they were recruited.
The conclusion and findings.
The evaluation of the study (implications, strengths, limitations, etc.).
How this study may fit your research topic: include a critical reflection that describes the usefulness of relevance for your study (literature review).
A sample of one reference in an annotated bibliography can be found in Appendix VI. Please note that the sections are separated so that you can view the different parts of the summary; however, for the Capstone Signature Assignment Paper (literature research paper), your paper should be continuous without direct reference to these sectionsthough the use of headings and subheadings are expected accordingly (refer to APA formatting).
Length: 7-12 pages, not including title and reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 7 to 10 scholarly resources related to your I/O topic.
Your annotated bibliography should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
