A little bit about the patient i interviewed.
Mr. M.B. is a 36year old African American male. He has a history of extreme paranoid, psychosis and past assaultive behaviors; when not on medications. Patient remains incompetent to stand trail, due to chronic psychotic condition. He is a danger to self/ and or others. Primary Diagnosis: Schizophrenia. Other medical conditions include morbid obesity, hyperlipidemia, vis d deficiency, non compliance with medical evaluations.
He was admitted on 11/02/15 for first degree asault and schizophrenia disorder. Admitted to Spring Grove host after St. Mary’s court committed him to HMH after finding of incompetency to stand trail and dangerous to himself due to intellectual disability. He was sentence to probation for 4 years after 1st degree plead in 2009. Since age 21, he exhibited signs of anger, depression, and confusion, trauma, sexual abuse. Verbal abuse from his father. Substance abuse, used marijuana 15 years ago.
Somatic history: Morbid Obesity, Sleep Apnea
Social development, family history: Born in baltimore MD, his parents never married, only child. Hasn’t seen his parents in over 10 years. He went to school until 11grade, raised by mother. Father verbally abused him at a young age.
