Assignment #6: Final Course Paper (28 points maximum). Students will prepare a final course paper on a subject that is related to the strategic management of IT resources in large, complex organizations.
Here’s the subject: “Strategic Management of IT resources within the Department of Defense”, which needs to include a discussion on the oversight/governance push/pull between the services and the department Headquarters Elements. This discussion should also depict that strategic management of information resources are happening in both places but aren’t always effectively coordinated.
The paper is to be at least 20 double-spaced pages in length and will reflect research conducted by the student and an analysis that is in the students own words. All references to the work of others must be properly cited (the use of un-cited work that is not by the student is an academic violation). The paper should be submitted electronically in Times New Roman font, 12 pitch size, and a 1-inch margin on all sides. The paper should be at least 20 double-spaced pages long (excluding the cover page and reference section). Citation references should be listed as footnotes. Up to 28 grade points are possible for the final course paper toward the final course grade, depending on the quality of the writing, research, citations, structure, and student analysis.
