With the rapid development of wireless local area networks, the future network will change more towards wireless and high-speed. Estes (2017) stated that in a few years, even if there is no Wi-Fi signal, people can quickly connect electronic devices and communicate with each other with the help of radio signals. In the future, many factors will promote positive changes in the network, including the growth of multinational companies, the increase in the market for cross-border e-commerce, the high popularity of wireless networks, and the further maturity of technology.

Wired networks will not be eliminated. Compared with wireless networks, the advantages of wired networks are always attractive to users, such as stability and speed. In fact, a survey from Altitude Integrations shows that half of the participants believe that the security risk is the biggest flaw of wireless networks (Ramberg, 2019). Therefore, a safe, high-speed, and stable network environment will not be completely eliminated.
